Hello! Can you please state your name and current occupation?

My name is Angeliki I am from Miami, Florida and I am a bank manager.

Why did you want to go to China, now?

My decision to study Chinese at this point of my professional career was to give myself an advantage over others in my industry. I feel that China is a presence in the economy and in banking and I may want to venture off into international banking in the future and I feel that by learning mandarin I can have an edge over everybody else.

Why did you want to study Chinese now?

The reason I wanted to study Chinese in China is to come to this country and experience the culture firsthand and that is something that I don’t believe that I would get from a textbook or classroom back home.

How did you begin your search to find study abroad immersion program and how did you hear about/discover NSC?

I came across the program through the internet by searching Study Abroad in China.

Why did you Choose NSC?

This was my first time going to Asia and I was hesitant to take that step. Coming across a program like Next Step China gave me that security in which I was able to feel more comfortable traveling away from home. They were there for me to answer any of my questions that I had during the initial process and that gave me that sense of security that I needed to come over here.
I choose the tutoring program because it fit my schedule as I was venturing to look for business opportunities. Rather than be in a classroom setting the program allowed me to have the tutor work around my schedule.

What do you think of our website?

The website was very user friendly and easy to navigate through. I thought it was great!

What were your goals in choosing the program you selected with NSC?

My goal for choosing the tutoring program was to build a foundation in which in the future I can communicate effectively with other business professionals in my industry.

What have you gained during your stay in China?

I feel that my experienced in China have given me a new found perspective on the culture out here. Experiencing the life firsthand has given me a new perspective and respect for the Chinese culture I never had before.

How did you feel about NSC’s accommodations?

The accommodations were impressive! I didn’t expect to have such a large apartment and be so close to the action of the city. The neighborhood was very safe and felt very comfortable with the living space.

How about the little things like transport cards, address cards, phone etc.

How did you feel about NSC’s tutoring program?

I was really happy with the tutoring program because my tutor really cared about my progress. She was a certified professional at the Beijing Language and Culture University and created programs that fit my interests.

How do you feel about NSC’s service?

The service that I experienced from Next Step China’s staff was unlike no other. I felt it was catered to my needs. They understood that I was a professional not a student; they really understood what I wanted. The service was exceptional!

Would you recommend the program?

I would definitely recommend Next Step China; the staff really caters to the individual which was important to me as a professional.

Did NSC meet or exceed your expectations?

Next Step China really did exceed my expectation and would definitely come back regularly to improve my mandarin skills. They also would make recommendations of where to go and what to do, which isn’t what I had expected.
