Salary Expectations
The salary you can expect to earn while teaching in China is dependent upon a number of factors. These include:
Your level of education (High School diploma vs. University diploma)
The district of China where you are teaching
What level you are teaching (i.e., preschool, primary school, high school, university, etc.)
Whether you are teaching at a public school, a private school, or a school for working professionals, or are hired as a one-on-one tutor.
Experience teaching English as a second language.
Your prior experience teaching or in other relevant fields.
The monthly for a teacher can range from 5,000 RMB to 10,000 RMB. If you work on an hourly basis the range could be 100 RMB to 200 RMB all depending on the type of job and your experience you have. Also keep in mind that some of the monthly salaries are post taxes and include housing.
