After you have decided which teaching position(s) you would like to apply go to Apply Now, fill in the required and additional information needed and submit your application.

Then send an e-mail to Teach@NextStepChina.org with the following: Subject of the email with the following: "Teach in China Application - YOUR NAME"

1. Your CV or resume (Word Document format)

2. Copy of latest diploma

3. Copy of your teacher certificate from your State/Province/Country if available

4. Two scanned letters of recommendations from your supervisor.

5. Other certificates applicable for your desired teaching placement, for example, TESOL certificate, etc.

Once we have received and verified all of the documents Next Step China will contact you for possible inquiries about your application or to schedule an interview with you.

After the interview you must confirm whether you will move forward with participating in the Teach in China program within Three (3) business days of the interview being conducted. Once you have confirmed you must submit a deposit of $250 USD (view Payment Options. The deposit will go towards the balance of the program fee.

The deposit is refundable if we are not able to provide a placement. The deposit is NOT refundable if we provide more than THREE placement options that were rejected by you.

Next Step China will provide proposals of contracts from at least THREE companies and discuss with you in detail each contract and whether it is suitable for you and your goals. You will then choose one of the contracts of which you have Three (3) business days to reply to our placement specialist.

Upon choosing your contract you will have 30 DAYS to pay the remaining balance of your program fee. Once we receive this payment will we begin to coordinate the logistics of your program.
