Teen Immersion Programs in China
Next Step China’s Teen Immersion program is hosted directly through Next Step China and is appropriate for ages 15+, while younger students can attend accompanied by a parent.
The program achieves a true immersion environment by including 7 hours of “class” per day. A day consists of one-on-one tutoring in a range of settings, including material-focused work in a quite setting and practical immersion experience in a “get out and practice” setting while visiting historical sites and experiencing the city. Tutors create an all-encompassing Mandarin learning experience. Students will learn Mandarin while out and about ordering at restaurants, reading signs and menus, asking for directions AND while using specialized learning materials to perfect their reading, writing and pronunciation.
The Teen Immersion Program is customized to each student based on the student’s interests and needs and focuses on developing a Madnarin student that is not only well versed in the rules of langauge, but also experienced in the culture and customs.
