HSK Prep Course Program

Next Step China’s HSK Prep Program is for anyone seeking an intensive course to reach a certifiable level of fluency in the Mandarin Language. The HSK, which stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, is a standardized test that tests your reading, listening and speaking ability. The HSK is an essential requirement for those who want to work at large Chinese corporation on a part-time or full-time basis. The HSK is also useful for students who want to enroll in a Chinese University as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.

Next Step China’s HSK Prep Program is an intensive program that will help you achieve the HSK level you desire. Our one on one tutoring program consists of you studying 4 hours a day, split between morning and afternoon, with two different tutors 5 days a week. Sessions are held in the comforts of your accommodation and/or our offices. The duration of the program ranges from 1 Month to 3 months and you decide the start date, we only require one month’s advance notice.

HSK certificate will help you in the following aspects:

To certify that you have obtained the required Chinese proficiency to be eligible to enter a college or university in China as an undergraduate or graduate student.

To seek for HSK scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education of China and the NOCFL; Examinees granted scholarships will be invited to China for an academic program in the following year with all major academic and boarding fees covered.

To certify that you have obtained the required Chinese proficiency, you may be exempted from taking certain Chinese language courses in your institution in China or your own country.

To serve as a qualification when you apply for a job position that requires a certain level of Chinese competency.

HSK consists of the following:

LEVEL 1, 2, and 3: Basic Chinese proficiency test (HSK Basic) – 100 to 800 hours of formal classroom or equivalent study in Chinese language

LEVEL 4 and 5 for Elementary and 6, 7 and 8 for intermediate: Elementary and intermediate Chinese proficiency test (HSK Elementary-Intermediate) – 400 to 2000 hours of classroom or equivalent study in Chinese language

LEVEL 9, 10 and 11: Advanced Chinese proficiency test (HSK Advanced). Certificates of HSK will be issued to those who have secured the required scores. – with over 3000 hours of classroom or equivalent study in Chinese language
