A Chance to Make a Difference …In China

Next Step China is proud to offer a unique program that enables individuals the opportunity to volunteer at leading non-government organizations in China. Through this program, participants are matched with an organization based on specific preferences and skill sets and provided with all of the support and tools needed to make the most of their time in China.
The goal of the Volunteer in China Program is to enable individuals interested in contributing their time abroad the opportunity to work in a non-profit setting in China. We work to provide the right match and offer the same services that we do for those in our education programs.

Next Step China wants you to have a great experience in your volunteer program and understand the benefits of social causes as we also donate our time to support charities in China and our home countries. Therefore, please keep in mind that 20% of the program fee,which is $1,500, will be donated to the organization that you will be volunteering in China. This is a great way to have you “vested” into the project while also providing needed funding for the organization.

What does the program fee include?

-Volunteer in China Program Features
-Guaranteed Volunteer placement
-Visa and travel assistance
-7 night stay at either a 3-star hotel or in our luxury accommodations
-Housing assistance to find a suitable long-term apartment close to work
-Social activities, art & culture classes and more depending on the location of your teaching position
-Tours to the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Great Wall, and other historical attractions

What are the qualifications?

You must be least 18 to participate in the Volunteer in China Program
Bachelors degree (If you are in your last year before graduation, you can begin the application process now!)
Native English speaker
Interested in volunteering and enthusiastic
Able to commit six months to one year to volunteer in China

Next Step China places individuals in a variety of non-government organizations. All contracts with NGOs vary but keep in mind that many NGO’s prefer volunteer to work months or one year.
